If you are not familiar with the planning process it can be a very daunting and sometimes challenging experience.

BUILDING REGULATIONS
A common misconception is that once planning permission has been obtained building work can be undertaken. This in fact, is often not the case as every construction scheme in the UK must also obtain Building Regulations approval.
M10 Architects produce high-quality, detailed technical Building Regulations drawings for the approval process which are submitted to the local Building Control Officers for review. The level of complexity within the project will determine what type of drawings and information will require submitting. Once approved, these drawings are used to construct your project by your chosen builder.
During the construction process, Building Control Officers will attend the site at various stages of the build to ensure that the construction complies with the Approved set of Building Regulations documents.
What are Building Regulations?
Building Regulations set standards for the design and construction of buildings to ensure the health and safety of people in or around those buildings.
They also include requirements to ensure the energy efficiency of buildings and facilities are provided for all people, including those with disabilities, to access and move around inside and outside the premises.
PROJECT SUPERVISION / BUILDING SUPPORT
M10 Architects offer project supervision in which we will monitor the construction process ensuring that the project is built in accordance with the requirements of the contract documents, approved plans, specifications, and current regulations. This will include:
